Ladolea Greek Oregano in Ceramic Pot, 15g

Ladolea Greek oregano has a powerful aroma and earthy flavour. It’s harvested in July in the region of Serres, Macedonia. This fragrant herb is a key ingredient in Mediterranean cooking. 

Organic oregano adds bright, herbal notes to salads and baked feta. You can add it to Mediterranean stews and bean dishes like gigantes plaki. Add a pinch to rich tomato sauces for pizza and pasta.

Pair Ladolea oregano with olive oil and red wine vinegar to make a simple dressing. Olia Hercules uses it in this traditional Cypriot salad. The tangy, herbal flavour is a great match for red onion, tomatoes and green pepper.

The oregano is stored in a green ceramic bowl. Inspired by ancient kitchen pots, it’s designed to protect the herb from sunlight. This helps to preserve its flavour and aroma. It comes with a wooden spoon for scooping and scattering.

Ladolea is a family-owned company in the Peloponnese region of Greece. It was created by the Kloutsiniotis brothers (Panos and Thanos) in 2012. The oil is rooted in Greek history and culture.

The brothers work with local farmers to grow indigenous Corinthian olives using traditional, sustainable methods. The distinctive ceramic pots are inspired by ancient Greek jars, used to hold oil for Olympic athletes to oil their bodies, as long ago as 700 BC.
